Cheque facility won't be withdrawn, says the govt
It is a matter of relief that the Union Government has clarified that cheque facility won't be withdrawn.

There were stray reports that an overenthusiastic government favaouring total digitalisation may go in for banning the cheque books.


It is gratifying to note that the government won't proceed with the reforms this way.

Sharad Yadav removes Nitish Kumar from party post
The Sharad Yadav faction of JD(U) has removed Nitish Kumar from the post of the party president and appointing Gujarat MLA Chotubhai Vasava as the acting president.

The Yadav faction called for a national executive meeting in Delhi, where it levelled a series of allegations against Nitish, the chief minister, who broke the grand alliance in Bihar and joined hands with the BJP to form another government.
