Liquor is available in Beverages outlets; People speak as though total prohibition has been clamped
Talks by various leaders and entities project the false image that total prohibition has been introduced in Kerala.

Liquor is profusely available in outlets of Beverages Corporation. Sales from these outlets would continue till eternity.

Cost of drinking would be less from liquor in such outlets than the same from liquor bars.

Gas tanker lorry blast at Chala, Kannur: Two killed, about 50 injured, many critical
Kannur: In a pre-Onam devastation, a tanker lorry carrying gas overturned and caught fire at Chala here and in the explosion it caused vast damages.

One woman was killed and about 50 people were injured, of whom many are critical, and houses spread over a two-km-area have been damaged.

Later, Adbul Azeez of Chala also succumbed to his injuries.

The gas tanker lorry was coming to Kozhikode from Mangalore.

The accident occurred by midnight on Tuesday.

The lorry hit the divider at Chala on the Koothuparamba-Kannur road and overturned causing gas leak and immediate fire and explosion.

At least 20 houses, 10 shops and numerous vehicles were destroyed in the devastating fire caused by the explosion.
